Allora Weddings Archival Information Needed –
Information about your wedding is important to us.
The Allora and District Historical Society is seeking information about the weddings of local people for their Wedding Dress Information Archives. This includes weddings which took place in other towns.
The society has a very interesting collection of heritage wedding dresses already and information about our collection will provide the basis for these archives.
As part of this project Allora Historical Society are also encouraging local women to preserve their wedding dresses carefully for posterity. Vicki Warden, Museum Development Officer based at Cobb and Co, Toowoomba was able to advise on preservation methods at the recent Allora High Tea, where information-gathering forms were also distributed.
Please send an Email to the below address for a form.
Forms can be returned to the society by:
Post PO Box 96 Allora Qld 4362
